I Have A History With You

I have a history with you.  It makes a difference.  I have to work on it.  Communicate with you periodically.  It is those histories that form your roots.  Form enough and your roots go deep.  It is those invisible ties that make you feel attached to an area.  And roots take time (and energy and effort).  Ultimately that is the only thing that matters:  the people you have reached out and loved.  That is your true legacy.  The memories you have created in loving others.

    I love this one, Siggy. Your poems arrived today. I TOTALLY love them both. The raspberry one “got me” on the last line…..AND, I really liked the solitude poem, partly because I live in almost monastic solitude. I consider it a luxury to be alone and spend large segments of time thinking or dreaming or writing or simply being. There is something about silence that opens the spirit!! Thanks for sharing. These were awesome poems…….and I like this blog, too.
