We are having an heat wave:  I checked the thermostat on the car and it registered forty degrees.  Once it hit December it got cold and stayed that way.  In July, that would be a cold day.  It is all a sense of perspective.  Now I consider that warm.  Let us see what the rest of winter will bring.  We just missed a snow storm which created havoc at the airports in NYC.  So far nothing worse than a few flakes.  Our luck can’t hold out the rest of winter.  In any case, I will enjoy the weather today.

Coco is my other pup.  I call her that despite the fact she turned two in the past July.  She is the second pup we kept when our retriever had her litter of seven.  She is a long haired black female dog.  Coco loves what we call “crunchies”–crackers, chips anything like that.  If she hears you munching away she immediately “plops” herself right in front of you hoping you relent and share some of your snacks with her.

She is a very gentle self assured affectionate dog.  There are some others things about her:  when she looks at me cockeyed with her absolutely adorable fluffy ears I just want to “melt”.  To say she has captured my heart is an understatement.  If we had not named her mother “Sweetie” already she would have probably gotten that name.  That pretty much sums her up.

Time Is So Fleeting

Spring is now four weeks minus one day away.  Now it is cold and snow still lingers on the ground.  Before we know it the first daffodils and primrose will come up and then the warm weather will start.  This cold will be a distant memory.  I am looking forward to picking the raspberries on my property and then my blackberries in July.  And before we know it autumn will come again and the cycle will start all over again.  Time seems to have two cycles at the same time.  One turns very slowly and the others speeds all the time.  Time is a vapor as the Bible says.
