Every person has tragedy in their life.  If you would take the time to listen, you would find that out.  That is just the way it is.  And some people have more.  And life is not always fair.  You can rant and rail.  It does not do any good.  So what is the difference between one person or another?  It is how they meet their circumstances.  Is it with courage or dignity?

Or do they whine?  And complain.  Every person has some tragedy in their lives.  It is how they face them that makes all the difference.  Do others get inspired by their example?  We all know such people in our lives.  You can’t change your circumstances but you can change your attitude.  That you have more control of.

In every life some tragedy falls.  It does no good to bemoan your fate.  Some people die, get sick, have accidents.  Life is not fair.  It does no good to compare yourself with others.  You deal with the “cards dealt you”.  That is all you can do.  Every life has tragedy.  There is no way to get around that.  Each life has problems.  You should be grateful.  Life is, indeed, very precious and all you can do is deal with your unique set of problems.  And how you face them will determines your character.  We are all tempered by the crucible of fire.

The Upcoming Snowstorm

Author: siggy

The area was rife with rumor

I simply waited

I don’t trust weather forecasts

I kept though peering at the sky

Waiting for the first flakes

I even took some

Precautions:

Filled up my tub

With water

An outage

Could demonstrate

How much water

We wasted every day

And assume

Will always be there

Flushing the toilet

Reminds us of this

The supermarkets

Were impossibly busy

Yesterday

As if everyone

Needed bread and eggs

I viewed all this

With sorrow

We all should

Have this problem

Thousands of miles

Away

An country

Has millions

With nothing

They own

But their backs

And many broken

Waiting

Waiting

and despair

Unimaginable

And we are afraid

Of a few flakes

Everyone Has A Story

Author: siggy

Everyone has a story.  You just have to stop and listen and observe.  Every one tells their story differently.  All the drama is there.  You often find out their tales in bits and pieces.  Very seldom will theirs completely unravel.

Most of the time you gets little pieces of theirs.  In little chunks.  Maybe ten, fifteen seconds at a time.  They do not have to know you.  It is hard not to reveal anything of yourself.

Your dress, manner and conversation speaks volumes.  You just have to listen.  Some people reveal triumph, others tragedy.  Others failure.  All you have to do is keep your eyes and ears open.

Others peoples’ story are always unraveling in front of you.  You have to take the time to listen.  That is all it takes.  A little patience and time.

Tragedy befalls people everywhere.  I just came from my small church this Sunday morning.  I talked to a lady who was going through chemotherapy at least a second time:  her cancer returned again.

We were told that in our congregation a four year old boy’s brain tumor returned and he would be operated again next week.

You do not have to live very long to discover somewhere someone is dealing with some difficulty.  The only question is whether they face their difficulties with courage and honesty.

Someone is always coming down with something.  There are accidents.  There is illnesses and disease.  Tragedy happens every day to someone.

Every day someone lives, someone dies.  It is the same everywhere.  Though, that knowledge does not make it any easier, especially when you are that person.  It is something you have to work through.  And it takes time.
