I don’t like the self-checkout aisles at the supermarkets.  I avoid them.  I usually want my groceries to be checked out by a “real” clerk.  I want the human contact I get as brief as it is.  This is despite the fact the paper cash recognition is much improved and it is not as finicky as it used to be.  And they programed the process well.  Once in awhile I will use the self-help checkout but not very often.  I am sure I am not the only person who feels that way.
