I like watching my plants grow in my den. Right next to my Lazy Boy is several plants on top of a bookcase just to the left of me. I have a snake ivy I pay close attention to when a new leafsprouts. It may increase in length an half inch every day. And that amazes me. I have one cactus I inspect every day for new growth. And when it gives off a new shoot, I watch it grow bigger. I have had it for years and water it only once in awhile when it is completely dry. I just put a tiny cactus in one corner and it over a few weeks it slanted to the right–toward the sunlight. Every new discovery I make gives me pleasure.

I am watching my snake ivy grow in my office.  It has three main stems and each one has a new leaf shooting up.  The one to the left is growing the fastest.  I could almost see the change in growth from day to day.  The other two leaves are growing, too, but not as quickly as if most of the energy of the plant is concentrated in the other one.  It appears every spring the snake ivy has a growth spurt.  I like watching my plants.

I am watching the snake ivy grow.  There are three new leaves coming up from three separate stalks.  One leaf particularly seem to grow so quickly that every day it seems to be a little bigger.  This rapid growth seems to happen every year once a year.  I enjoy watching my plants.  The snake ivy is in my office where I watch TV and listen to music so I am there a lot.  I just give the ivy plant a little attention.  I give it a little water once a week when the soil is dry.  That is all it needs.  I have other plants in my office.  They don’t grow as quickly.  Right now I have my eyes on the ivy plant.
