Spring is coming, Spring is coming !!! I am waiting for today and tomorrow to end. Then we get five days of Spring-like weather. My crocuses have eleven buds, and the daffodils are getting higher and higher. I know the cold weather this year was short, but I still remember those ice cold days we had. Spring is less than two weeks away, and I can’t wait for it to come.

The robins are back. Yesterday, we drove around town to see how many we could spot. We saw three or four. Today I saw two in the backyard at the same time. They are back and spring is coming. I had to strip down to my tee shirt discarding my undershirt. It still was not that warm. I tried driving into town with my windows down. I had to put them up again. It was almost time to dig out my shorts. It was almost too warm in my long pants. It is forecast to hit the seventies several times in the next ten days so I might have to dig up my shorts after all.

Winter is on its way out. Groundhog day was one week, one day ago. It is now less than five weeks to winter’s demise officially. I have started my countdown to spring. The weather does not always cooperate but now I can see the end of the tunnel. Spring is coming. I will keep that thought in mind even when the frigid weather returns. Not that there has been much of that. There wasn’t. Maybe we will still get a big snowstorm. It does not matter. Spring is on its way. I will keep that in mind. Winter is on its way out.
